Position Description

A New York City-based health services organization is actively seeking an experienced, licensed Registered Nurse (RN) to join its growing Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Brooklyn.

About the Opportunity:
  • Shift: Nights
  • Schedule: 3 shifts/week and rotating weekends
  • Hours: 7pm to 8am
  • Setting: Acute Care
Responsibilities:
  • Administering medications and intravenous fluids as prescribed by Physicians
  • Performing nursing procedures such as inserting catheters and managing ventilators.
  • Regularly assessing patients' conditions, including vital signs and responses to treatments
  • Monitoring patients closely for any changes in condition and alerting the healthcare team
  • Utilizing advanced monitoring equipment to track patient parameters
Qualifications:
  • 2 years of experience in a Critical Care and/or Intensive Care role/setting
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
  • Active NYS Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
  • IV Insertion andPhlebotomy skills
  • Conscious sedation skills
  • Strong communication skills
  • Attention to detail
Desired Skills:
  • EPIC EMR experience
